Quiet expiration Friday leaves stocks higher on the week. The Dow ($INDU) fell 5.86 points to close the session at 12,986.80. The S&P 500 ($SPX) gained 1.78 points, closing at 1,425.35. The NASDAQ ($COMPQ) lost 4.88 points to 2,528.85. Volume was slightly higher due to option expiration with 1.31 billion shares traded on the NYSE and 2.28 billion shares exchanged on the Naz. Market breadth was mixed with the Big Board seeing winners exceed losers by a 16-to-15 margin, but the Naz negative at a 12-to-16 margin.
